Recaudamos fondos para la investigación de esta grave enfermedad, rara entre las raras, con el sueño de encontrar curación a la misma. No se conocen más de 50 ó 60 casos registrados en el mundo, lo que hace que ni los laboratorios farmacéuticos ni los estados investiguen esta enfermedad, todo debemos conseguirlo los padres con fondos privados. Es una enfermedad degenerativa que en pocos años tiene un desenlace fatal.

AGAELA es una entidad sin ánimo de lucro que opera en todo el territorio gallego y que tiene como objetivos principales son la prestación de apoyo y ayuda a todos los afectados de ELA y a sus familiares y la promoción de la investigación para encontrar una cura a la ELA. La ELA es una enfermedad neurodegenerativa que provoca una parálisis muscular progresiva. El pronóstico medio de supervivencia desde el inicio está en los 3-5 años. A día de hoy, no se dispone de una cura.
