Somos una fundación privada, independiente y sin ánimo de lucro activa desde 2004. Empezamos con la actividad principal de apadrinar, adoptar y rescatar animales salvajes y de compañía. A raíz de la experiencia adquirida como profesionales del sector, en 2012, decidimos iniciar un proceso de transformación interno. Al Sur de Etiopía, en una región rural y con muy pocos recursos económicos, se encuentra el Hospital de Gambo, hospital misionero que ofrece asistencia sanitaria a todos los habitantes de la región e incluso recibe a las personas más pobres de zonas alejadas al tratarse de uno de los hospitales más baratos del país. La población padece desnutrición severa, deshidratación, malaria, tuberculosis, sida, neumonía, meningitis, y son los niños la población más vulnerable y afectada.

Under Yemeni pediatric supervision we take care of serious and difficult cases. Las.asociaciones pasamos por momentos muy duros; no paramos de atender casos de abandonos, muchos de ellos gatas preñadas a las que debemos castrar o gatos que han sido abandonados estando muy enfermos y que nos dejan unas deudas veterinarias imposibles de asumir. Darío tiene solo 2 años y una enfermedad ultra-rara y sin cura llamada FOP ( Fibrodisplasia Osificante Progresiva), los músculos, ligamentos, tendones y articulaciones se osifican formando hueso, hasta que crean un segundo esqueleto que les inmoviliza. En España hay unos 40 casos, no tiene cura ni tratamiento e irreversible. Se puede dar por brotes espontáneos o causados por un golpe, vacuna, operación. Necesitamos visibilidad e investigación para un tratamiento ya que hay varios en proyecto.
