Abril is a 8-year-old girl diagnosed with SPG52, with only 55 diagnoses in the world. SPG52 is an ultra-rare disease that causes very serious symptoms such as severe intellectual disability, epileptic seizures and very rapid muscle degradation in the lower body. Abril started walking when she was 3 years old and now at 8 she can hardly move anymore.

Nuestro lema es Niños contra la Laminopatía, en concreto del tipo L-CMD. Recaudamos fondos para la investigación de esta grave enfermedad, rara entre las raras, con el sueño de encontrar curación a la misma. No se conocen más de 50 ó 60 casos registrados en el mundo, lo que hace que ni los laboratorios farmacéuticos ni los estados investiguen esta enfermedad, todo debemos conseguirlo los padres con fondos privados. Es una enfermedad degenerativa que en pocos años tiene un desenlace fatal.

At 19, Janira met Salah, a Syrian boy who, by 13, was selling flowers on the streets of Lebanon to survive. Lacking access to education, Janira decided to create a school for him. She called it 26 Letters. Today, our school supports 450 families with education and humanitarian assistance. Now, with the war reaching Lebanon, their situation has become more dire. Syria is at a crucial turning point in its recent history after the fall of the Al-Assad regime, with many challenges still ahead. 14 years of conflict have left 7 mill. people internally displaced and 16 mill. in need of humanitarian assistance. With increasing movements of Syrian refugee families returning to the country with minimal resources, a critical socio-economic situation and a winter that further complicates the situation, immediate assistance is urgently needed to protect them.

Jorge sufrió una transfusión feto-fetal de su hermano gemelo Cristian a las 36 semanas de embarazo, lo que le produjo una anemia severa. Cristian no tuvo tanta suerte y murió. Tras 17 días en la UCI, parecía que Jorge iba evolucionando bien, pero con el tiempo le diagnosticaron una parálisis cerebral. Alba is an inteligent funny and amusing girl. Although we well could say “was”, as a terrible tragic accident happened on fateful march 21st 2016. A relative, who was in a shock due to an epileptic attack, let Alba fall from a third floor. Alba saved her life, but a strong brain damage remains on her. Now, we have a long neurorehabilitation process left ahead to see how much she can recover and become herself again a bit. Help us!

Jimena es una niña de 2 añitos con una enfermedad rara, llamada síndrome de Angelman. Este síndrome afecta a 1 de cada 20.000 nacimientos. Su pronóstico es muy duro, con dificultad para caminar, ausencia del lenguaje, retraso metal, hiperactividad y epilepsia entre otros trastornos. A día de hoy no existe cura, y en el 95% de los casos la causa es puro azar. Para paliar todo esto se precisan costosas horas de rehabilitación y terapia, además de la adaptación de elementos utilizados a diario.
