Galgos 112 es una asociación sin ánimo de lucro que se dedica al rescate y recuperación de galgos y podencos. Una vez rescatados los perros reciben el tratamiento veterinario necesario en cada caso y ya recuperados se entregan en adopción como animales de compañía. Galgos 112 no recibe subvenciones de ningún tipo. El 30% de los galgos y podencos rescatados por Galgos 112 llegan a la asociación en un estado crítico que requiere tratamientos especiales de larga duración y coste elevado.

The SJD Pediatric Center is the first monographic centre for paediatric oncology in Spain (2nd in Europe). 70% of the centre is devoted to care and 30% to research. It has the capacity to care for 400 children and youngsters. Its spaces are designed with the emotional well-being of the children and their families in mind. A Osteogénese Imperfeita (OI) é um grupo de doenças hereditárias responsáveis por graus variados de fragilidade óssea. Um traumatismo minor é suficiente para causar fracturas e deformações ósseas. Geralmente é utilizada uma classificação em 5 tipos. A OI é causada por mutações nos genes COL1A1 ou COL1A2. A terapia com Pamidronato na infância é o tratamento mais extensamente estudado, tendo-se provado benéfico.
