We work together with 2 animal shelters in northern Portugal and have set up a puppy station there. We rescue and adopt dogs from Portugal. There are many emergencies, many dogs that need to be rescued, many dogs that need urgent help... There are many bitches with puppies that are abandoned... Many puppies that are disposed of in the garbage... Many dogs that are no longer wanted .. The animal shelters are overcrowded... We urgently need donations to care for the many dogs...

Varna’s Samtpfoten is an registered association, which has made it its mission to help the animals on the streets of Varna in Bulgaria. We try to save the cats and dogs from further suffering and give them a suitable home - and all this on a voluntary basis.

El Refugio del Burrito is actively involved in causes that encourage the application and improvement of existing laws regarding animal welfare and the promotion of education and awareness campaigns about responsible equine ownership and expert care.

Animal welfare goes beyond national borders. Every animal deserves a chance at a dignified life. The association operates a shelter in Tunari, Romania. A maximum of 140 dogs can currently be taken in and cared for there. We take care of dogs that have had an accident or are in need, and we constantly rescue animals from the so-called killing-shelters. In addition, we support and organize castration campaigns and maintain a Germany-wide network of around 100 foster homes.

As per Guinnes Book of World Rekords the Smeura is bearing the mournful title of being the biggest animal shelter of the world. Around 5400 dogs and 600 puppies need around 2.7 tonnes food per day. The staff members are doing an inconceivable job - organizationally, physically and emotionally. Driving around with a castration van and pushing the clearing up of the locals. Every euro is needed. Seit Jahren ist Carmen im Tierschutz tätig. Ihr Fokus liegt auf der Ursachenbekämpfung der miserablen Situation der Tiere in Spanien. Immer mehr kam sie zu der Überzeugung, dass es nicht ausreicht, sich vom Ausland aus zu engagieren. So packte sie Anfang 2014 ihr gesamtes Hab & Gut und wanderte nach Sevilla, Spanien aus, um vor Ort ein eigenes Tierheim, Asociación Parenas ES, zu eröffnen. Sie arbeitet Tag für Tag mit vollem Einsatz für all die in Not geratenen Tiere.

Hilfe für Italiens Streuner, ein Projekt des deutschen Tierschutzvereines Leben für Streuner e.V., hat es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht, Streunern in Italien zu helfen. Wir unterstützen Tierschützer vor Ort um die aufgenommenen Notfälle mit Futter zu versorgen, ihnen die nötige medizinische Versorgung zu gewährleisten und Lebenssituationen zu verbessern. Wir sind ebenso stets bemüht, mit Durchführung von Kastrationen von Straßen- und Besitzertieren das Leid zusätzlicher Streuner einzudämmen.

Wir sind eine Tierschutzorganisation, die Streunern und schwer traumatisierten, kranken und alten Straßenhunden eine zweite Chance gibt. Die Chance auf Liebe, Wärme und Geborgenheit. Denn Hunde sind unser Leben. Wir schauen nicht weg - wir verändern!

Edina spends all her time saving animals from the streets in Sarajevo. She is also a volunteer at Praca (horror) shelter where dogs do not get food, medical attention, water, etc. She tries to save as many as possible. In winter Edina feeds the strays at night. Edina has around 130 dogs and 90 cats under her care at pensions and tries to find them good homes. She cannot do this alone, please help her!

Jede Kastration hilft das Tierleid zu verringern. Nur mit flächendeckenden Kastrationskampagnen können wir das Tierleid verringern.

ESMA has been a registered non-profit animal welfare association based in Cairo since 2007. The goal is to help suffering dogs and cats: 1.) injured, sick, poisoned, malnourished and abused strays as well as abandoned pets are admitted to their shelter and medically cared for. It is tried to find a loving home for these souls. 2.) Castration campaigns are intended to reduce the overpopulation of stray dogs.

Sabir comes from Azerbaijan and, as an unemployed person with a serious heart operation behind him, has already rescued countless cats together with his two daughters and his wife, although he himself only has enough money to eat. They regularly add new cats to the 40 they have to care for, both adults and kittens, which they rescue from the cruel streets and people. The family is grateful for every donation, because every euro counts for the cats!

Maria Fragkouli lives in Ierapetra on Crete and takes devoted care of stray dogs and cats. Maria currently has more than 75 dogs and about 25 cats in her garden and in her apartment in Dog Village, the new shelter. She also takes care of many other street animals and provides them with food and, if necessary, takes them to the veterinarian. Maria urgently needs our support in caring for the street animals. Wir haben einen Traum! Möglichst vielen Tieren ein besseres Leben zu bieten – und zwar nachhaltig! Die Massnahmen sind zahlreich. Am wirkungsvollsten sind gross angelegte Kastrations-Aktionen, weil das Problem des Tierleids an der Wurzel angepackt wird. Die SHKR betreibt in mehreren europäischen Ländern Kastrations-Projekte zum Schutz der Strassentiere bzw. verwilderter Haustiere. Wir betreiben zudem seit 2015 ein eigen gebautes Tierheim in Rumänien in welchem über 100 Hunde leben.

WHT rettet Straßentiere in Sliven und Umgebung. Um die mittlerweile über 80 Hunde und über 100 Katzen im Shelter versorgen zu können, benötigen wir Angestellte. Diese wollen und müssen Geld für ihren Lebensunterhalt haben. Jeden Monat aufs Neue sammeln wir das Geld, um Milena, Nevena und Jelka zu bezahlen. Auch die Security, ohne die es nicht geht, muss bezahlt werden. Helft mit Teaming dies ein wenig zu stabilisieren. Helft uns mit nur 1 Euro im Monat.

Vor 10 J. haben wir den bulg. Streunern, Ketten- und Tierheimhunden so wie den vergessenen Katzen unser Versprechen gegeben: Wir geben euch nicht auf! Um dieses Versprechen auch weiterhin aufrechtzuerhalten, benötigen wir eure Unterstützung. Die hier eingehenden Spenden kommen unseren Notfällen zugute, die eine medizinische Behandlung benötigen oder einen längeren Klinikaufenthalt. Die Kosten steigen & wir wollen bei keinem zukünftigen Tier in Not wegschauen müssen. Zusammen können wir helfen!

Wir haben unseren Gnadenhof vor 19 Jahren selbst aufgebaut und beherbergen und versorgen viele Tiere, die auf unserem Gnadenhof ein letztes Zuhause gefunden haben. Viele konnten wir vor dem Tod retten, viele wurden von Menschen einfach im Stich gelassen, weil sie nicht mehr in ihr Leben gepasst haben. Wir sind bemüht, den Tieren ein unbeschwertes Dasein ohne Angst und Stress zu ermöglichen. Liebe Menschen unterstützen uns, ohne diese Unterstützung wäre dies alles nicht möglich! DANKE!

We neuter and rescue dogs in Romania, in Faget, Sighisoara and Lugoj. The biggest challenge this year is to buy a castration vehicle, only then will there be fewer dogs on the streets .. A dedicated veterinarian will drive from village to village with it and many dogs neuter and educate the population how important it is. Wir sind «Savethedogsbih» und retten Strassenhunde in Bosnien. Wir retten Hunde von der Strasse oder befreien sie aus unzumutbaren Haltungen. Sie werden beim Tierarzt untersucht, medizinisch versorgt, kastriert/sterilisiert und anschliessend auf unserer derzeit 10 Hektar grossen, weit abgelegenen Ranch eingegliedert. Dort kümmert sich unser Team um die Hunde – sie erhalten viel Zuneigung, Essen und Trinken. Es wird täglich mit ihnen gespielt und sie haben ein Dach über dem Kopf.

Rüsselheim e.V. ist ein im Jahr 2009 gegründeter Verein, der es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht hat sogenannte "Nutztiere" zu retten und ihnen ein würdevolles Leben zu ermöglichen. Bei fast 1600 Schweinen, Rindern, Schafen, Ziegen, Hühnern, Kaninchen und anderen Tieren, ist es eine gewaltige Aufgabe die monatlichen Kosten für den Unterhalt zu stemmen. George Orfanidis has been rescuing animals in Crete, Greece for 25 years. He has around 120 dogs at his shelter. George often takes disabled animals or those requiring expensive surgery or with an ongoing need for medication for diseases such as leishmaniasis, who might otherwise struggle to find the safety of a shelter and are hard to find homes for.
