Im Süden Äthiopiens, in einer ländlichen Region mit sehr geringen wirtschaftlichen Ressourcen, befindet sich das Gambo-Missionskrankenhaus. Es bietet allen Einwohnern der Region erschwingliche Gesundheitsversorgung und nimmt selbst die ärmsten Menschen aus entlegenen Gebieten auf. Die Bevölkerung leidet unter schwerer Unterernährung, Dehydration, Malaria, Tuberkulose, AIDS, Lungenentzündung, Meningitis usw. Und Kinder sind am stärksten gefährdet und am häufigsten betroffen.

Our goal is to help the development of the town where we met; Sarpeh, located in the Ashanti region in Ghana, African continent. We have carried out different projects (volunteering), buying the orphanage and improving it. Currently, we want to finance the maximum studies of children from the orphanage and the town; health education projects and help in the construction of the school. En nuestra shamba, más de 250 niños reciben una atención integral que incluye alimentación, atención médica, ropa, y una educación que les permita salir de la miseria. El objetivo es proporcionar documentación legal, escolarización, acompañamiento, atención médica y nutricional y colonias de verano a niños y niñas en situación de alta vulnerabilidad del municipio de Dioulacolon, en la región de Kolda, Alta Casamance, Senegal. Dicho programa de protección y educación se lleva a cabo a través del empoderamiento de jóvenes y mujeres de la región con la intervención de adultos comprometidos pertenecientes a su propia red social.

Proyecto de intervención integral en desnutrición, salud y pobreza a través del empoderamiento de las trabajadoras sanitarias en la zona rural de la comunidad de Meki, al sur del país, una región donde más de la mitad de la población padece desnutrición severa por falta de acceso a la alimentación básica.

Maisha Roots is an NGO that combines the efforts of two entities, a Spanish one (Maisha Roots Spain) and a Tanzanian one (FYWCO), with the common goal of fostering development in Tanzania. Its origins are found in the local decision of establishing a prosperous community to achieve the development of the community where we work. In Arusha, Tanzania, the projects are developed and from Spain we are working to achieve the dissemination network and media that ensure us the pursuit of our objective.
