Open Arms opens its arms to women, men, boys, girls and all those fleeing horror, looking for a chance. The humanitarian emergency in the Mediterranean does not stop and our mission is to protect the lives of the most vulnerable at sea, and on land continues. Working in schools on human rights and empathy and denouncing all injustices is our mission as well. From your hand we can prevent more deaths. We need each other. You are needed.

Did you know that 5,000 people get sick with leukaemia each year in Spain, which is the most common childhood cancer, and that despite the progress made, we still lose one in four minors and half of adults? At the Josep Carreras Foundation we have been working for more than 30 years to make leukaemia a 100% curable disease, to find 100% compatible donors for everyone, and to make displaced patients feel at home. With your help, we are unstoppable.

We are a cat sanctuary. Over 70 rescued animals live with us: abandoned cats, injured ferals, and adults with chronic illnesses or behavioral challenges. In 10 years we have rescued over 1,000 animals, and for many, this will be their safe forever home. To keep growing, we are becoming a foundation and building a new sanctuary. Wir haben eine große Herausforderung: ein spezielles Zentrum zur Behandlung von Krebs im Kindesalter zu schaffen. Unser Ziel ist es, die Heilungschancen zu erhöhen und eine ganzheitliche und persönliche Betreuung zu bieten, die niemanden aus finanziellen Gründen ausschließt. Das Zentrum wird jedes Jahr 400 neue Kinder aufnehmen und soll u.a. über 40 Zimmer 8 TPH-Kameras und 20 externe Konsultationen anbieten. Wir hoffen, dass es im 2019 Realität wird - wir brauchen die Hilfe aller.

Mi nombre es Desiree Olmeda y desde hace años me dedico al rescate de gatos, a la gestión de colonias felinas y a encontrarles hogar. Este perfil está destinado a cubrir los gastos del pequeño refugio que estoy creando: alquiler, suministros, alimentación y veterinario, para seguir salvando vidas. APAN is an animal shelter, located near Barcelona. The project was born with the aim of finding beautiful families for the dogs and cats living the shelter, promoting volunteerism, animal welfare awareness as well as respect and love for the animals. We have more than 60 dogs and cats at the moment. We speak for them, as they have no voice and cannot raise their paws to ask for help. Can you help us to continue helping them? ❤
