La UAPO (Unidad de Apoyo al Paciente Oncológico) es una unidad interdisciplinar que integra la educación física, la fisioterapia, la psicología y la nutrición, para proporcionar al paciente oncológico una intervención integral. Además, la estrecha colaboración de la UAPO con el grupo PROFITH-CTS977 de la Universidad de Granada, garantiza que las intervenciones que se realizan estén basadas en la evidencia científica. The SJD Pediatric Center is the first monographic centre for paediatric oncology in Spain (2nd in Europe). 70% of the centre is devoted to care and 30% to research. It has the capacity to care for 400 children and youngsters. Its spaces are designed with the emotional well-being of the children and their families in mind. Our aim is that the children have more options to overcome cancer with less after-effects. Will you join us?

CADASIL is a rare hereditary disease that affects arteries throughout the body, but its symptoms only occur in the brain, with recurrent strokes and dementia at an early age (around 45-50 years old) being characteristic. There is NO cure, but a research team at the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau (Barcelona) is going to start a clinical trial to see if treatments already on the market can help to stop this incapacitating disease.
