We created this group to build a base of donations in order to guarantee daily food to the 500 dogs that live in our sanctuary in Prijedor, (BIH). Our dogs eat almost 6 tons of dry and canned food per day and the cost is 9000 Euros per month. With this group we want to show that difference can made by a single Euro per month. For about 8 years we have been supporting and helping a shelter in the province of Benevento run by one person, without any other help. Oasi Ohana is a shelter for abandoned dogs or those who have spent their lives as strays, and is located in Santa Margherita di Belice, in the province of Agrigento. Ohana means family. Family means that no one is abandoned. Or forgotten. It was founded almost 10 years ago by Chiara Calasanzio, now 30, who transformed her family's country house into a real sanctuary for dogs. In Bosnia per legge un cane accalappiato deve essere soppresso dopo 15 giorni. In quei 15 giorni questi poveri condannati senza colpa vivono in recinti, al freddo d'inverno e sotto il sole d'estate, senza cibo e acqua. I started to rescue strays, cure and socialize them and finally find them a forever home. The situation of stray dogs in Morocco is dramatic. Rachid Mihdam and I (Muriel Bény) have joined forces and our hearts to save street dogs. Rachid transformed his house into a small shelter for dogs that we have saved over the years. We have to face many expenses for food, care, vaccinations but also sterilizations that are necessary.
