El objetivo principal del proyecto de investigación es evaluar la efectividad de la administración de células mesenquimales en niños con daño cerebral. Se realizará en el Hospital del Niño Jesús de Madrid, pero los niños serán de cualquier lugar de España. Se evaluará la efectividad a nivel motor, a nivel cognitivo conductual, en la reducción de las crisis epilépticas y en la mejoría de la calidad de vida.

Lucia suffers from a terribly painful rare disease, Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy, with torsional dystonia and myoclonus (convulsive movement disorders). She has been in tremendous pain day and night for almost 10 years. The treatments that she has undergone so far have been unsuccessful, she is getting worse and worse and the disease continues to advance through her body, but we cannot give up, right now we are hoping for something new. We need your help to achieve it.

Fathers and mothers from all over Spain, aware of the seriousness of our children, we decided to fight to give them a better and hopeful future. That is why we have joined together in order to raise funds through the Duchenne Parent Project for research. We manufacture prostheses for people who are amputees or who have been born without an arm. We have delivered hundreds of them in Spain. Mexico, Colombia, Kenya, Thailand and more than 50 other countries free of charge for people with disabilities who could never access this type of aid. Giving them this oportunity would improve their quality of life, increase their employability and, in the case of children in many countries, would allow them to go to school. El objetivo del proyecto es reducir la tasa de abandono escolar de los alumnos con mayores dificultades de aprendizaje, provenientes de entornos socio familiares conflictivos. Además, tiene otros objetivos transversales: eliminación de la brecha de género en entornos tecnológicos, descubrimiento de vocaciones en áreas STEM, soft skills, habilidades sociales y comunicativas, uso del error como parte del proceso de aprendizaje y convertir a los jóvenes en usuarios responsables de tecnología.

We are a group of people affected by multiple sclerosis, a neurodegenerative disease experienced by some 50,000 people in Spain. Two-thirds of the 1,800 people who each year learn they have MS are under the age of 40; three out of four of them are women. GAEM promotes research into treatments for this disease, and seeks to improve the quality of life of affected people and their families.
