Siamo un piccolo rifugio del sud Italia situato a Taurianova (RC). Nella nostra struttura accogliamo circa 80 cani randagi e offriamo loro cure, cibo e amore nella speranza che trovino una famiglia per sempre. Ci prendiamo cura anche di quelli che non possiamo ospitare per mancanza di spazio, monitorandoli e garantendo loro cure veterinarie in caso di necessità, con l'obiettivo di trovar loro uno stallo temporaneo fino a quando non potremo accoglierli.

Wir sind ein gemeinnütziger Tierschutzverein - primär für sog. Listenhunde - die wir in unserer Anlage in Köln betreuen. Unser Hauptaugenmerk liegt hier bei Hunden, die aufgrund ihrer nicht so schönen Vergangenheit kaum Vermittlungschancen haben. Zusätzlich betreuen wir noch einige ältere und kranke Hunde, die sich auf Endpflegestellen befinden. Wir erhalten keinerlei öffentliche Gelder, finanzieren uns ausschließlich aus Patenschaften und Spenden.

There we currently take care of 260 dogs and 20 cats, all former emergencies, on our own large premises. All of them would not be alive without us. As per Guinnes Book of World Rekords the Smeura is bearing the mournful title of being the biggest animal shelter of the world. Around 5400 dogs and 600 puppies need around 2.7 tonnes food per day. The staff members are doing an inconceivable job - organizationally, physically and emotionally. Driving around with a castration van and pushing the clearing up of the locals. Every euro is needed. !Tierschutz ist Charaktersache! Wir leben den Tierschutz und kümmern uns um verlassene Hunde in Bosnien und Kroatien.. Wir fahren etwa alle 3 Wochen selber nach Bosnien und Kroatien und bringen Futter und Sachspenden zu den Tieren die unsere Hilfe so sehr brauchen.. Etwa 300 Hunde versorgen wir alleine in Bosnien.. Es müssen Pflegestellen gefunden und bezahlt werden..Die Hunde müssen tierärztlich versorgt und je nach Alter kastriert werden.. Wir sind über jede Unterstützung dankbar..

2008 verkaufte die italienische Tierschützerin, Luigia Parco ihren Besitz und erwarb in Apulien Land, auf dem sie das Oasi Nuova Vita erbaute. Freilauf und geräumige Gehege für ca. 100 Hunde pro Jahr. Geschundene Seelen, kranke Streuner, ausgesetzte Welpen finden dort Zuflucht, Sicherheit und Heilung. Try to look after them well and give them in good hands. They also look after feeding sites and catches the cats for castration. There are at least 60 cats in her house, all of whom need food, medicines, cat litter and medical care. This all costs money, you can help us to support Daniela and her crew!
