Abril is a 8-year-old girl diagnosed with SPG52, with only 55 diagnoses in the world. SPG52 is an ultra-rare disease that causes very serious symptoms such as severe intellectual disability, epileptic seizures and very rapid muscle degradation in the lower body. Abril started walking when she was 3 years old and now at 8 she can hardly move anymore.

La Asociación se está esforzando para crear servicios dirigidos tanto a familiares y afectados por el Síndrome 22q11. Por ello nos parece fundamental mantener el recurso de apoyo psicosocial, liderado por una Trabajadora Social, para dar cobertura a nivel emocional y cubrir las carencias en el ámbito biopsicosocial, con el objetivo de satisfacer las necesidades individuales- familiares y colectivas para conseguir una mejor calidad de vida.
