SoCCS (Società per la Cura dei Gatti di Sotogrande) è un’associazione benefica senza scopo di lucro, ufficialmente registrata in Andalusia, Spagna, gestita da un gruppo di 30 volontari che lavorano instancabilmente per migliorare la vita dei gatti randagi. SoCCS gestisce programmi di TNR (Cattura, Sterilizzazione e Rilascio) e di alimentazione a Sotogrande e dintorni per mantenere popolazioni feline sane e stabili.
La Sotogrande Cat Care Society (SoCCS) è un’associazione benefica registrata in Andalusia, Spagna. Ci prendiamo cura dei gatti randagi locali tramite programmi di TNR (Cattura, Sterilizzazione e Rilascio) e di alimentazione a Sotogrande e dintorni. Il nostro team di 30 volontari lavora instancabilmente per migliorare la vita dei gatti delle strade. Dalla fondazione abbiamo sterilizzato oltre 1.400 gatti, evitando la nascita di migliaia di cuccioli indesiderati. Ogni giorno nutriamo più di 200 gatti in colonie controllate, offrendo cibo e acqua. Non riceviamo alcun sostegno pubblico, e i volontari spesso pagano di tasca propria. Unisciti al nostro gruppo Teaming con solo 1 € al mese. Ogni euro va direttamente alla sterilizzazione e al nutrimento — nessun salario, nessuno spreco.

In the past six weeks, SoCCS has sterilised 41 cats, bringing the total to more than 1,400 since our inception.
That means tens of thousands — perhaps even hundreds of thousands — of unwanted kittens have not been born into lives of hunger, disease, and hardship on the streets.
All of this takes time, commitment, and money. Trapping, neutering, feeding, and ongoing care all come at a cost — and with no government support, we rely entirely on donations.
Our volunteers are unpaid and often make up shortfalls out of their own pockets.
We’re in the middle of a major neutering drive and want to keep the momentum going for as long as we can. The more cats we can sterilise now, the fewer will suffer later.
