Savethedogsbih is a non-profit organization in Bosnia. We rescue dogs that have been abandoned, abused and chained up. For over 6 years, the founder Bruno Jelovic and his team have been caring for over 1000 dogs. Our dogs are not kept in kennels, but live on our ranches where they can just be dogs. We are committed to growing and plan to build more ranches to accommodate more dogs.

Wir, der Verein „ein Herz für Hunde“ kämpft gegen die traurige Lage auf der Deponie in Bihac in Bosnien. Hunderte Strassenhunde benötigen dort täglich Futter und Wasser. Neben der täglichen Angst zu verhungern, kommt natürlich auch das ständige Leben in Angst dazu. Da dies in einer Dimension stattfindet, die wir ohne fremde Hilfe nicht stemmen können, benötigen wir immer wieder Menschen mit Herz die uns helfen und spenden möchten.

"Udruga Fido" is a croatian animal shelter between Medulin and Pula / Istria. Every year we help more than 200 animals that have been abandoned, injured or starved to death. We currently have neither water nor electricity, the work is very difficult. The costs are enormous and the animal shelter needs to be renovated. We urgently need your support! We are the biggest animal shelter in Croatia. We are taking care for aprox 500 dogs. In our area we have 12 roma villages from where we saved more than 2500 dogs from 2018. At the moment, 600 injured, hungry, ill dogs are still waiting to be saved. We need help for veterinary care, food, vaccination, castration. We still build new yards to make new place's for abandoned dogs.

From a family project, we created an NGO to support an orphanage in Burundi. We rebuilt basic facilities, hired local staff (€150/month), and send medicine, food, and powdered milk. Since June 2025, we’ve been providing training and salaries to women caregivers. We’re improving nutrition and childcare. Help us give these children a chance!
