Grupo de ayuda a las familias con hijos afectados con Síndrome de Charge,que es una enfermedad rara que presenta sordoceguera, cardiopatías graves, restraso psicomotor, problemas graves de conducta, algunos llevan gastrostomía y traqueostemía. It is estimated (according to the Deafblind indicators study) that there are currently around 38,000 people with deafblindness in Catalonia. The Catalan Association for People with Deafblindness (APSOCECAT) works to guarantee their rights and improve their well-being and that of their families through leisure activities and programs, psychosocial care and support in daily life.
