We are a family from Spain. Our son Mateo, has a genetic mutation in the NEK8 gene, considered ultra rare, that is damaging his organs. When he was 9 months old, he had a liver transplant and when he was 3 years old, a kidney transplant. In a future he could need a heart transplant, also. There is a research team that can help him to stop his illness but they need funding (€62,000). Your contribution can save him.

Our son Jesus was diagnosed with a new leukodystrophy, a devastating disease that affects quality of life and hope for a full future. We have formed an association called "THE HONEY OF LIFE" with the aim of financing research in Amsterdam that brings us closer to a cure. The key to defeating this disease is research and the generosity of people like you. Each € is a declaration of hope, a vote for life, and a show of solidarity.
