For more than 30 years, Scooby has been providing shelter to abandoned and mistreated animals. In the 90's we brought to light the atrocities inflicted on galgos (Spanish greyhounds). At present, we are the biggest shelter in Spain, currently homing more than 1000 dogs and cats and 200 farm animals. Our resources are very limited and we depend mainly on the donations. Wir haben uns dem Thema Kastrationen gestellt, da wir der Ansicht sind, dass mit jeder Operation ein wichtiger Teil eines effektiven Tierschutzes geleistet wird. Nichts verhindert das Tierleid nachhaltiger als Kastrationen, damit neues unendliches Leid zukünftiger Generationen verhindert wird. Das Übel muss an der Wurzel gepackt und bekämpft werden! Für Leben, das nicht gewollt ist, gibt es keine vertretbare Alternative außer Kastrationen – damit die Liebe ohne Folgen bleibt.

We take care for around 500 hedgehogs each year. Main point are hurt, traumatized hedgehogs and those having cancer. The central is in Ober-Wöllstadt/Hessen, another hedghehog station is in Kirchworbis/Thüringen. The organization exists since 2008, before that date we took care for hedgehogs private a couple of years.

Help us to help more animals! SCARS is an organization in Athens, helping mainly cats but we will help any any other animal in need. Our goal and dream is spaying and neutering stray cats (sometimes we manage to do 100 cats per month), we take under our care special need animals (blind, deaf, three legged etc) and many times these animals require very expensive surgeries. Wir sind ein gemeinnütziger Verein in Solingen und setzen uns seit vielen Jahren dafür ein, das Leid der Streunerkatzen ein wenig zu mildern und der ständig steigenden Anzahl an verwilderten Hauskatzen entgegen zu wirken. Dazu fangen wir uns gemeldete Streunerkatzen ein, lassen sie kastrieren und chippen und bringen sie, wenn die Versorgung gesichert ist, in ihre gewohnte Umgebung zurück, wo sie wieder freigelassen werden. Ein Zuhause für Tiere e.V. ist eine private Tierschutzinitiative von mir und meinem Mann. Wir teilen unser Haus mit 93 Katzen und 7 Hunden. Die meisten von ihnen sind chronisch krank oder behindert, andere wurden einfach entsorgt. Unser Projekt ist sozusagen ein Tierheim mit „Heimanschluss". Wir haben jeden Monat eine Tierarztrechnung von etwa 1.000€ und mehr zu begleichen. Mit einer Tierarztpatenschaft soll geholfen werden, die monatlichen Kosten für den Tierarzt zu begleichen.

I have been living on Crete since January 2018. My home has become an animal shelter. Since I find it so difficult to rehome the animals, I have been concentrating since 2024 - mainly on the silver paws. This means that there will no longer be any reimbursement of expenses via the protection fee/rehoming. And I will no longer have any heartache when I say "goodbye".
