WHY is a former stray dog. Her mother was rescued heavily pregnant in Campania in 2018, and WHY found a loving home in December 2018. Her wish: that all her friends can also be rescued and find a family. Her mission: to alleviate the suffering of stray dogs in southern Italy through emergency aid and long-term projects. Italy is often overlooked in animal welfare, but WHY wants to change that. Join her mission – together, we can make a difference!

Alles begann als Claudia einfach nicht mehr weg schauen konnte…… Überall sieht man Hunde und Katzen, die am Strassenrand um ihr überleben kämpfen….teilweise ohne jegliche Chancen, dies alleine schaffen zu können. Wir leben in einem europäischen Land, aber das Elend der Tiere wird von Tag zu Tag größer! Claudia und das kleine Team arbeiten Tag und Nacht, um den Fellnasen ein besseres Leben zu schenken. SpecialDogs e.V. stands for sustainable animal welfare at home and abroad – with a focus on Romania and Germany. In Romania, we pursue effective animal welfare through spay/neuter programs, education, political advocacy, and carefully selected adoptions. In Germany, we run the “New Start” project: here we take in dogs in need that would otherwise have no chance – animals that have already bitten or are facing euthanasia.

We are a small, non-profit animal welfare association in Switzerland, which together with our local partner BETA (Beirut for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) tries to reduce the animal suffering in Lebanon and to continue to provide for the more than 1200 animals under our care despite adverse conditions.

We are a German animal welfare association that has taken care of the suffering and plight of Romanian street dogs around Bucharest. These souls would have no chance of a normal life without any help. Thus, captured, mistreated and/or injured dogs and cats live in our Romanian reception centre and are provided there by our Romanian animal rights activist, medically cared for and cared for until we have found a new, suitable and loving home for her.

Tierschutzbrücke München e.V. supports the Casa Cainelui animal shelter in the city of Timisoara in Romania. Approx. 300 dogs have to be constantly looked after there. In the animal shelter, however, they are already safe from the urban dog catchers and the killing stations. The regular castration projects on site also require a lot of commitment. Aus einer kleinen Gruppe privater Tierfreunde entstand 2006 unser Verein. Unser Name "Die Vergessenen e. V." kommt nicht von ungefähr: Wir haben es uns zur Aufgabe gemacht denen zu helfen, die oft vergessen werden. Darunter fallen vor allem alte, traumatisierte, kranke oder gehandicapte Tiere. In Polen sind solche Tiere quasi unvermittelbar. Deshalb tun wir alles in unserer Macht stehende, um gerade diesen treuen Seelen ein Für-immer-Zuhause zu schenken. Bitte helft uns auf diesem Weg.
