We are a small, non-profit animal welfare association in Switzerland, which together with our local partner BETA (Beirut for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) tries to reduce the animal suffering in Lebanon and to continue to provide for the more than 1200 animals under our care despite adverse conditions.

Help for Animals in Lebanon – Every Euro Saves Lives The situation for animals in Lebanon has become increasingly difficult in recent years. Due to lack of awareness and the tense political situation, countless dogs and cats are abandoned and left to their fate. We have made it our mission to counteract this animal suffering. - 1,500 rescued animals in our shelter who would have no chance of survival without us - Sustainable education and spay/neuter programs to tackle the problem at its root - Medical care in a clinic within the shelter - Placement in loving homes where possible - A dignified life for all animals that remain with us What makes us special: 100% of your donation reaches the animals We work entirely on a voluntary basis – no administrative costs, no salaries for us. Every donated euro flows directly into food, medical care, spay/neuter programs and better living conditions for our animals in need.

Wir sind sehr glücklich mit dem neuen Tierheim: dank des Aufbaus und dem super Team, können wir die grenzwertige Anzahl (+900) an Hunden professionell betreuen und in kleineren Gruppen in ihren Zwingern füttern. Damit brauchen wir kaum mehr Futter, als für 650 Hunde im alten Tierheim, die wir im Rudel mit etwa 400 Hunden gefüttert haben. ⁣
Zudem macht uns die Photovoltaikanlage vom unzuverlässigen Strom und teurem Diesel ⛽️ unabhängig. ⁣
Die kleine Klinik im Shelter in der Dr. Bernard Vollzeit arbeitet und kleinere Operationen und Kastrationen durchführt spart uns Geld und die Fahrten zu externen Kliniken. ⁣
Alle Board Members von Beta (so auch ich) arbeiten ehrenamtlich, damit auch wirklich jede noch so kleine Spende bei den Tieren ankommt…⁣

⚠️ und trotzdem schaffen wir es nicht! ⚠️⁣

Die Situation im Libanon verschlechtert sich weiter, Menschen verlassen das Land, lassen ihre Tiere zurück oder setzen sie aus, da sie sich nicht mehr leisten können. Noch nie haben wir so viele Tiere aufgenommen, wie dieses Jahr. Und Spender aus dem Ausland haben sich seit dem Krieg in der Ukraine von uns abgewandt.⁣

Wir brauchen dringend mehr Spenden, jeder einzelne Euro macht einen Unterschied!
