Syria is at a crucial turning point in its recent history after the fall of the Al-Assad regime, with many challenges still ahead. 14 years of conflict have left 7 mill. people internally displaced and 16 mill. in need of humanitarian assistance. With increasing movements of Syrian refugee families returning to the country with minimal resources, a critical socio-economic situation and a winter that further complicates the situation, immediate assistance is urgently needed to protect them.

Despite the ceasefire, Gaza continues to suffer extreme hardship. After months of attacks, the Gazan population has been traumatised, wounded and exposed to the elements just as winter approaches. Without urgent improvements in access to water, sanitation, shelter and food, more people will die from entirely preventable causes. Help us to continue our work in Gaza.

At the Josep Carreras Foundation we have been working for more than 30 years to make leukaemia a 100% curable disease, to find 100% compatible donors for everyone, and to make displaced patients feel at home. Muchas gracias.
