Lamis Said, the angel of the street cats, lives in Cairo. She lives in very modest circumstances with 30 cats in a much too small apartment, but she cannot look away. AlmaGea Sanctuary is a recently launched project which, on the one hand, is committed to active environmental protection and, at the same time, provides a home for animals in need. We don’t only want to give a forever home to abandoned or mistreated dogs and cats, but also to farm animals with problems or saved from slaughter. We bought a 25.000sqm property in Sicily in order to have a lot of space for the animals & trees, helped a dog and 8 kittens so far. Please help us make a difference!

Without paying rent 360 Euro of my flat, I have to leave and the animals must back on street. I am an animal rights activist in Athens and currently take care of 150 of my own cats and also a few cat colonies and other strays. I need financial support for food, renting the cat house, vet costs, neutering and much more. Please help me take care of the animals.

Felina Sicily e.V. is a non-profit association that helps German and Sicilian stray cats by neutering them. Since there are so many cats and only a few strays can be placed, we focus on limiting suffering through birth control. This helps the cats grow older and stay healthier. However, the cat colonies are no longer growing. The actions are accompanied by educational measures for the population.
