WE NEED TO REACH 2,000 TEAMERS. At “El Hogar,” health cannot wait. Our elderly and special-needs animals require daily care, and many others cannot be transported due to their large size. In addition, our remote mountain location places us two hours away from hospitals in case of emergency. That is why we must secure a resident veterinarian living on-site to care for them every day. This group exists to make that possible. With €1 per month, you become part of the team that protects their lives.
At Fundación El Hogar, veterinary care cannot depend on luck. Our mountain location, two hours from hospitals, and the size of many farm animals make emergency transport difficult. Many of our residents are elderly or have special needs and require constant monitoring. This project funds the monthly cost of a full-time resident veterinarian living on-site to provide regular check-ups, preventive care, treatment adjustments and immediate response to emergencies. With €1 per month, you help sustain stable and continuous veterinary care.

Queremos compartiros que la semana pasada estuvimos centradas en importantes trabajos de construcción. Los fuertes vientos y las lluvias del invierno terminaron de destrozar el pajar, y ahora lo necesitamos con urgencia. Especialmente porque las normativas siguen tratando a los santuarios como si fueran granjas, poniendo en riesgo la vida de los cerdos y jabalíes que no estén confinados.
Se ignora que aquí los animales viven cuidados, en semilibertad, y que confinar o hacinar animales en espacios reducidos no es la solución a las emergencias sanitarias.
Todo esto implica también un gran esfuerzo veterinario: seguimiento constante, prevención, tratamientos y adaptación de espacios para proteger su salud. Contar con un veterinario residente y poder asumir estos cuidados es fundamental para garantizar su bienestar.
Queremos daros las gracias por vuestro apoyo incondicional, que está siendo clave para poder afrontar tanto estos trabajos como los gastos veterinarios del día a día.
