The de-eucalyptization brigades organize and coordinate environmental volunteering actions in collaboration with owners of land with environmental values degraded or threatened by eucalyptization and other invasive exotic species. By eradicating these species and replacing them with other autochthonous ones of high ecosystemic value with the aim that the affected areas do not burn again and that they help as protective zones, serving as green firebreaks and biodiversity corridors.

Les garranes (Equus ferus atlanticus), cavalls salvatges del nord-oest peninsular, han estat un element central del paisatge cultural de les serres atlàntiques durant mil·lennis. Avui són essencials per preservar els hàbitats de torberes i bruguerars humits, reduir la incidència d'incendis, capturar carboni i prevenir la degradació dels ecosistemes. Recolza la Fundació Montescola per reintroduir cavalls salvatges al comunal de Froxán i la Serra da Xiroña.
