El Sindigato

El Sindigato formed in 2018: 3 neighbours, driven to improve the lot of a local 30+ feral colony. Once the colony was stabilised through CER (2021), the scope broadened. Results to date: 200+ adoptions, 90+ sterilisations/interventions——Given the volume of work & new challenges in the barrio, from 2026 a sister asoc, Xé Gats, will focus on the street/CER, el Sindigato on fostering/adoptions ——Both groups continue caring for our beloved colony. Thanks to you all, we cover 50% of their food needs.

We work on two levels to help stray cats. - local colonies and community cats are cared for and managed using the TNR approach (trap, neuter, return) - for those cats whose temperament or circumstances make them suitable for adoption, we find them a safe, responsible, and permanent home Both adoptive and streets cats are given veterinary care, temporary shelter, and food. In the absence of comprehensive and effective government action, street cats rely solely on voluntary neighbourhood groups like ours for a dignified life with a minimum level of well-being.

Archie. Macho de 10 años.
Es uno de los nuevos miembros de la colonia. Se ha integrado muy bien después de 4 semanas de confinamiento con en un jaulón grande dentro del solar. Con las Fallas en Valencia, hemos esperado algo más que lo usual antes de liberarlo. Hoy celebra 3 semanas de libertad en su nuevo hogar.
