Meow dear Catlovers,
sometimes rescue work is quiet and steady — and sometimes, everything happens at once.
Right now, we are facing several urgent cases that remind us why this work matters so deeply.
Muso, a 14-year-old senior cat, recently gave us a real scare. He was suffering from vomiting and nosebleeds, and a veterinary check revealed a severe swelling in his sinus area. Surgery was unavoidable. Thanks to the incredible support of his foster, who stepped in to cover half the costs, Muso was able to receive the treatment he needed. He is now recovering with a drain in place, and we are waiting for biopsy results. Please keep him in your thoughts.
Then there is Rosalía — a shy, beautiful stray who appeared out of nowhere at one of our feeding stations. It took time and patience to gain her trust, but we finally managed to secure her. She has now been neutered, treated for parasites, and is safe. No chip, no known past — but from now on, she has a future.
And Fito… his story is a tough one. Years of neglect left him with a severe mouth infection, and he has lost almost all of his teeth. After surgery, he is currently being fed through a tube to regain his strength. Despite everything, he is fighting — and for the first time, he has a real chance.
These are not isolated cases. They are part of our everyday reality.
At the same time, there are hopeful updates: cats like Pancho, diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, are now receiving daily medication thanks to the cooperation of local partners. Sometimes, one small pill a day can completely change a life.
But none of this happens without support.
Our Medical Fund exists for moments exactly like these — when quick decisions save lives, and when long-term care gives animals a real future.
