EL CAPITÁN animal project ist ein deutscher Verein, der sich um Straßenkatzen auf der kanarischen Insel Fuerteventura kümmert. Unsere Aufgaben im Besonderen sind: > Katzen-Populationskontrolle durch Kastrationen; > Einrichtung und Betreuung von Punto de Gatos; > Medizinische Versorgung von Streunerkatzen; > Enge Zusammenarbeit mit lokalen Tierärzten; > Bildungsarbeit im Bereich Tierschutz

Happy World Cat Day – and a little reminder to make a difference
Yesterday was World Cat Day, and although we believe every day should be a day to care for and celebrate cats, it is a wonderful opportunity to remember just how special they are.
We wish all cats around the world – and, of course, their humans – nothing but the very best. ❤️
Around World Cat Day, we were able to help seven tiny kittens who had been abandoned. Thanks to the support we receive, we can step in when animals like these little ones urgently need us and give them the care and chance at life they deserve.
And since many of you are currently travelling, we would also like to remind you of another incredibly simple way to help: becoming a flight volunteer. ✈️
If you are flying home from your holiday destination, you may be able to accompany a rescued animal on its journey to a new home. It usually requires very little extra effort from you – the animal welfare organisation takes care of the necessary arrangements and paperwork – but for that animal, your help can mean the beginning of an entirely new life.
Sometimes making a huge difference really can be that simple.
