Actualmente no tiene cura pero se aplican tratamientos que ayudan a recortar las crisis en número y duración, aún sin lograr que el paciente tenga una vida normal. Esta enfermedad, devastadora para los niños y sus familias, causa epilepsia y déficit intelectual.
