Savethedogsbih is a non-profit organization in Bosnia. We rescue dogs that have been abandoned, abused and chained up. For over 6 years, the founder Bruno Jelovic and his team have been caring for over 1000 dogs. Our dogs are not kept in kennels, but live on our ranches where they can just be dogs. We are committed to growing and plan to build more ranches to accommodate more dogs.

As per Guinnes Book of World Rekords the Smeura is bearing the mournful title of being the biggest animal shelter of the world. Around 5400 dogs and 600 puppies need around 2.7 tonnes food per day. The staff members are doing an inconceivable job - organizationally, physically and emotionally. Driving around with a castration van and pushing the clearing up of the locals. Every euro is needed. Sunshine Animal Refuge Agadir provides safe refuge for over 900 former street dogs, 150 cats, and many rescued equines in the Agadir area. All donations will go to pay for the feeding, care and support of the animals in the refuge. Each month we have to find money to pay food bills, cover the wages of the minimal staff who care for the animals, fuel for the vehicle and any vet bills. Her wish: that all her friends can also be rescued and find a family. Her mission: to alleviate the suffering of stray dogs in southern Italy through emergency aid and long-term projects. Der gemeinnützige Tierschutzverein SardinienHunde e.V. hat es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht Hunden auf Sardinien zu helfen. Besonders die Arbeitshunde zur Jagd und Schäferei sind von großem Leid und Elend betroffen. Wir unterstützen Tierheime und Auffangstationen auf Sardinien und versuchen in Zusammenarbeit mit ortsansässigen Helfern und Tierärzten durch Aufklärungsarbeit und medizinische Hilfe sowie Parasitenprophylaxe, die Lebenssituation der Straßenhunde zu verbessern.

In the mountains of northern Morocco, Leeny and her small team tirelessly and lovingly cared for injured, abused, or sick stray dogs. At the Beldi Refuge, approximately 100 dogs find shelter, care, and attention. But our goal goes far beyond that: Through education, neutering, and vaccinations as part of the TNVT program, we aim to end the suffering of stray animals in the long term and fundamentally change attitudes toward dogs in the region. Together, we are many ❤️

What we do, we do with heart & brain: dogs and cats rescue from killings and from the street, medically help sick and injured animals, help for self-help, mediation, castration projects, feeding facilities, educational work. We support a private shelter near Setubal. Quinta das Patitas (the paw farm). Teresa, director and founder, and her heart project deserve all our support. About 400 dogs live on the farm!

In Romania, we pursue effective animal welfare through spay/neuter programs, education, political advocacy, and carefully selected adoptions. In Germany, we run the “New Start” project: here we take in dogs in need that would otherwise have no chance – animals that have already bitten or are facing euthanasia.
