I am Sabah, a private person who has been working in animal protection for some months. I am often forced to rescue animals that are victims of abuse and neglect. As hungry people continue to flee the atrocities committed by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in El Fasher, our teams are providing urgent care to those who have managed to reach the town of Tawila. There, we are witnessing extreme levels of acute malnutrition, the most serious example to date of the nutritional crisis that has been ravaging Sudan since the start of the war.

Nearly 12 years of war in Syria have left a country devastated, and worse, millions of lives destroyed. But now a devastating earthquake of magnitude 7.6 hits the northwest of the country and the southeast of Turkey on February 6, leaving more than 4,000 lives in both countries. From the Islamic Relief Foundation we are on the ground providing cash grants so that those most affected can meet their immediate needs.

We are a couple of individuals in the process of formalizing an association. Our first objective is the rescue of animals in need, especially cats, with their subsequent medical recovery and finally the search for responsible adoption for them.
