Wir, der Verein „ein Herz für Hunde“ kämpft gegen die traurige Lage auf der Deponie in Bihac in Bosnien. Hunderte Strassenhunde benötigen dort täglich Futter und Wasser. Neben der täglichen Angst zu verhungern, kommt natürlich auch das ständige Leben in Angst dazu. Da dies in einer Dimension stattfindet, die wir ohne fremde Hilfe nicht stemmen können, benötigen wir immer wieder Menschen mit Herz die uns helfen und spenden möchten.

Tierschutzbrücke München e.V. supports the Casa Cainelui animal shelter in the city of Timisoara in Romania. Approx. 300 dogs have to be constantly looked after there. In the animal shelter, however, they are already safe from the urban dog catchers and the killing stations. The regular castration projects on site also require a lot of commitment. We are a German animal welfare association that has taken care of the suffering and plight of Romanian street dogs around Bucharest. These souls would have no chance of a normal life without any help. Thus, captured, mistreated and/or injured dogs and cats live in our Romanian reception centre and are provided there by our Romanian animal rights activist, medically cared for and cared for until we have found a new, suitable and loving home for her.

Animal welfare goes beyond national borders. Every animal deserves a chance at a dignified life. The association operates a shelter in Tunari, Romania. A maximum of 140 dogs can currently be taken in and cared for there. We take care of dogs that have had an accident or are in need, and we constantly rescue animals from the so-called killing-shelters. In addition, we support and organize castration campaigns and maintain a Germany-wide network of around 100 foster homes.

We are a small team of engaged people raising funds for lonely rescuer Sorina Rinciog who does incredible work in Campina Romania. Her goal is to increase the quality of the street animals in her region and to protect them from harm, giving them a safe place to stay whilst preparing them for their future home. But her work does not end there, she feeds as well the many street animals, neuters them and is looking after their welfare, not having anybody else caring about them.

Mauritius is a beautiful tropical island near Madagascar, popular amongst tourists. Unfortunately it has a darker side: It has about 250,000 stray dogs and the government catches and kills them in barbaric manner. We are a small NGO based in France, and in partnership with the NGO "The Animal House Rescue" on the island, we bring the most fragile dogs to Europe. Wonderland is a private Shelter in Targoviste Romania run by Cristina Paun & the UK Charity Bid to Save a Stray which Cristina is a Trustee of & funds will be paid to the UK bank account.. During years she saved more than 8.000 Dogs from death and hunger. Wonderland Sanctuary is a Home for +/- 1400 dogs & we have high monthly expenses to keep them all fed and cared for. Mirica Toma ist pensionierte Deutschlehrerin und betreut in Zaklopaca (Nähe Belgrad) derzeit ca. 100 Hunde und 90 Katzen - und das mit umgerechnet 400 € Rente. Sie teilt alles was sie besitzt mit den Hunden und arbeitet rund um die Uhr aufopferungsvoll für die Tiere. Alleine das Futter kostet im Monat über 1000 Euro, jeder Euro hilft uns.
