Queremos dar a conocer la enfermedad de Marcos. Es una enfermedad rara, SATB2, que conocimos cuando él tenía 8 años. A partir de ahí necesitamos más ayudas para que tenga una mejor calidad de vida. Marcos no habla, tiene problemas de comprensión, de conducta. musculatura blanda, epilepsia, retraso psicomotor, mala dentición... The SJD Pediatric Center is the first monographic centre for paediatric oncology in Spain (2nd in Europe). 70% of the centre is devoted to care and 30% to research. It has the capacity to care for 400 children and youngsters. Its spaces are designed with the emotional well-being of the children and their families in mind. We are a group of people affected by multiple sclerosis, a neurodegenerative disease experienced by some 50,000 people in Spain. Two-thirds of the 1,800 people who each year learn they have MS are under the age of 40; three out of four of them are women. GAEM promotes research into treatments for this disease, and seeks to improve the quality of life of affected people and their families. El objetivo de esta ONG consiste en proporcionar acceso a asistencia médica básica a los niños de la aldea de Kombani, cuyas familias no cuentan con recursos económicos para costearla; además de escolarizarlos y garantizarles una comida al día. Actualmente hay 113 niños apadrinados a quienes mejoramos a diario sus condiciones de vida. El proyecto en sí se financia mediante apadrinamientos. Es decir que, por 12€ al mes, las necesidades básicas de todos estos niños quedan cubiertas.
