Human trafficking is one of the worst forms of human rights violation, with no country immune. Every year, millions across the world fall victim to traffickers for the purpose of exploitation. This includes prostitution, forced labor, forced criminality & begging, and even organ removal. A crime that shames us all, trafficking robs people of their dignity, dreams & basic human rights. But, with your support, we can change that. Donate to the UNVTF and help us make a difference.
The Trust Fund's mandate is to provide humanitarian, legal and economic assistance to victims of trafficking in persons through the awarding of multi-year grants to specialized non-governmental organizations (NGOs), who are on the frontlines of tackling human trafficking. These NGOs are selected through a rigorous grant-selection process that is led by the UNVTF Secretariat in Vienna, Austria. The Trust Fund supports interventions that facilitate early identification of victims, include the use of innovative strategies and technologies supporting appropriate victims assistance, and promote engagement with persons with lived experience of trafficking, taking into account trauma-informed responses for victims' reintegration into society. Since its estabishment in 2010, the UNVTF has supported over 90,000 victims of human trafficking, through 195 NGO projects, across 60+ countries.
