We are a dog shelter in Xabia, Alicante, Spain set up in 1999. Our shelter provides a safe place for dogs that have been lost, abandoned, mistreated, or given up by their owners until they can find their forever home. We are a large shelter who rely mainly on donations for the general running costs of the shelter and the care of the dogs. We supply medication, food, shelter and care for our dogs every day of the week all year round, and care for them as they are our own.

APAC Caballos is a Rescue Centre in La Xara, Denia, set up to defend & protect horses and offer a second chance by adoption. We are a non-profit organisation and run by support of our Volunteers. Your Support enables us be able to re-home and care for all of our horses, the abused ones, the older ones, the damaged ones, all who have paid there dues and are looking for a quiet peaceful retirement. This Association is totally based on donations and all your help is essential to help the horses.

Tanamera rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes Spanish hunting dogs. Without exception, they enter our shelter being only skin and bones and food is their first need. Our refuge suffers to pay the food bill for our dogs, that often need special food (liver / heart problems, recovery & puppy food). On average we need 335 euros PER MONTH to be able to give them the food they need. We need your help to ensure we can feed our dogs, not only today, but every month. Please help us feed them. Animal Charity Akira was formed in 2011, and opened a shelter in 2016. A monthly allowance is given by both Benissa and Teulada Moraira town councils towards the running costs of the shelter, but this is less than the cost of the veterinary bills for the dogs in their care, so AKIRA needs donations to help provide for the dogs. We are constantly fund raising but you could help by sparing just 1 euro per month to help provide a safe, friendly, caring environment for the dogs.

Welcome to the SCAN Team. On the Costa Blanca in Spain, we rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home abandoned and abused cats and dogs. Staffed entirely by volunteers and funded entirely by donations, every animal in our care is given shelter, food, medicine and enrichment to make it healthy, happy and ready for adoption. We successfully find loving forever homes for over 95% of SCAN Cats and SCAN Dogs.

Protectora SAT Animal Rescue, or ‘SAT’ as it is usually known, is a voluntary organisation and registered charity rescuing and re-homing stray and abandoned dogs in the Alicante province. In January 2024 we moved to our new kennels at San Isidro, which provides much better accommodation for our dogs, but we still need to raise more funds to complete the project. Sanju Sanctuary is a kitten rescue that nurtures, hand-rears, and homes abandoned kittens. Run by an amazing couple, and surviving on donations and grit, Sanju is an important link in managing the feral cat population in Jávea. This Teaming Group is focused on medical care for rescued kittens. This includes vaccinations, medications, medical procedures, and helping other local organisations with trapping, neutering & colony control .

APROP is a not for profit Animal Protection Association based in Pego, Spain. We are a network of committed volunteers and foster carers who rescue and rehome abandoned dogs and cats. Our shelter is basic, but full of love and care, providing a safe place for our animals to stay along with food and all veterinary care until they are adopted.
