Alexandra Martín Cejudo y su marido, trabajador del campo, llevan dos años en paro. Tienen 5 hijos, 4 niñas de 15, 12, 8 y 2 años, y un niño de 14. Viven de alquiler en una casa de la Junta de Andalucía y sólo pagan 32 euros pero para ellos es un dineral porque desde noviembre no tienen ningún ingreso. We help and keep safe around 150 animals (dogs and cats), whom were victims of abandonment and/or abuse. We provide them with shelter, food, veterinary care and lots, lots of love; we are their temporary family and home. We are a non-profit entity and, to be able to keep running all this, we need all the help we could get, ¡every grain of sand counts!

At 36 weeks’ gestation, Jorge underwent a foetal-to-foetal blood transfusion from his twin brother Cristian, which left him with severe anaemia. Cristian was not so lucky and passed away. After 17 days in intensive care, Jorge seemed to be recovering well, but he was eventually diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Since then, we have been supporting him through various therapies and orthopaedic aids. We have a dream: that he will be able to walk and communicate.
