Savethedogsbih is a non-profit organization in Bosnia. We rescue dogs that have been abandoned, abused and chained up. For over 6 years, the founder Bruno Jelovic and his team have been caring for over 1000 dogs. Our dogs are not kept in kennels, but live on our ranches where they can just be dogs. We are committed to growing and plan to build more ranches to accommodate more dogs.

Animal welfare goes beyond national borders. Every animal deserves a chance at a dignified life. The association operates a shelter in Tunari, Romania. A maximum of 140 dogs can currently be taken in and cared for there. We take care of dogs that have had an accident or are in need, and we constantly rescue animals from the so-called killing-shelters. In addition, we support and organize castration campaigns and maintain a Germany-wide network of around 100 foster homes.

!Tierschutz ist Charaktersache! Wir leben den Tierschutz und kümmern uns um verlassene Hunde in Bosnien und Kroatien.. Wir fahren etwa alle 3 Wochen selber nach Bosnien und Kroatien und bringen Futter und Sachspenden zu den Tieren die unsere Hilfe so sehr brauchen.. Etwa 300 Hunde versorgen wir alleine in Bosnien.. Es müssen Pflegestellen gefunden und bezahlt werden..Die Hunde müssen tierärztlich versorgt und je nach Alter kastriert werden.. Wir sind über jede Unterstützung dankbar..

As per Guinnes Book of World Rekords the Smeura is bearing the mournful title of being the biggest animal shelter of the world. Around 5400 dogs and 600 puppies need around 2.7 tonnes food per day. The staff members are doing an inconceivable job - organizationally, physically and emotionally. Driving around with a castration van and pushing the clearing up of the locals. Every euro is needed. At GREFA, we rescue, rehabilitate, and release suffering wild animals back into the wild. But what about those whose injuries or other health issues prevent them from returning to their natural habitat? This is the case for 200 animals who are unable to care for themselves and have had to stay with us permanently. Wir, der Verein „ein Herz für Hunde“ kämpft gegen die traurige Lage auf der Deponie in Bihac in Bosnien. Hunderte Strassenhunde benötigen dort täglich Futter und Wasser. Neben der täglichen Angst zu verhungern, kommt natürlich auch das ständige Leben in Angst dazu. Da dies in einer Dimension stattfindet, die wir ohne fremde Hilfe nicht stemmen können, benötigen wir immer wieder Menschen mit Herz die uns helfen und spenden möchten.
