Sanctuary Cats

I am Silvi Sanctuary, after many years of work we are now a registered association: SANCTUARY CATS. Composed by Silvia, Mónica, Begoña and Oscar. We deal with several abandonments. With this group we intend to raise funds to cover food, veterinary expenses, sterilization of homeless and abandoned cats. Right now there are: about 60 cats, most of them sterilized, but we still have work to do. We also want to set up safe areas and shelters for them. Thank you

There are many feral (community) cats that are unsterilized in our neighborhood. Little by little we are doing the work, but new litters keep appearing and therefore after months we have to sterilize more cats again. Right now we already have two registered colonies and in total we are in charge of feeding and caring for more than 60 cats on the streets. We need funds to be able to feed them and sterilize new puppies in the coming months. We also have to enable safe and adequate spaces to be able to rescue the kittens and get them off the street. The final goal is to be able to have a shelter where the most docile ones can be cared for and sheltered until their adoption arrives. We need you. €1 a month doesn't seem like much, but many people contributing that euro is a lot of help.

El pasado mes de noviembre la asociación AEPUZZ en su evento celebrado en Peñaflor de Gallego, dono las ganancias de dos rifas a dos asociaciones del barrio. A Sactuary Cats nos tocaron 228€ que junto con los donativos transferidos de Teaming los utilizamos para la construcción de un catio en un espacio que nos ha cedido la Alcaldía del barrio.
Este catio se esta utilizando para las recuperaciones de los gatos recién esterilizados, Las esperas de traslados al veterinario tras la captura, y para recuperaciones de enfermedades leves o heridas de los gatos de las colonias de las que nos ocupamos.
También ahora están 3 cachorros recién rescatados mientras encontramos adopción para ellos, o algún gato casero abandonado como HolaTu, hasta que encontremos acogida.
Son periodos cortos de tiempo, pero nos esta facilitando mucho las tareas y los gatos están muy cómodos en su espacio. Muuchas gracias a todos por la ayuda.
