Xènia is a pretty little girl became tetraplegic due the enterovirus outbreak happened in Spain on 2016. She had the most agressive strain, D68 that made several damages in her spinal chord. She's been in the PICU for 3 months having 3 heart attacks and 2 pneumonia, and she recovered succesfully. After that we'd been in Guttmann Institute, a recovery center for 6 months. Le centre pédiatrique SJD est le premier centre monographique d'oncologie pédiatrique en Espagne (2e en Europe). 70% du centre est consacré aux soins et 30 % à la recherche. We help and keep safe around 150 animals (dogs and cats), whom were victims of abandonment and/or abuse. We provide them with shelter, food, veterinary care and lots, lots of love; we are their temporary family and home.
