The "La Ninna" Hedgehogs Recovery Center is located in Piedmont in Novello, in the province of Cuneo in the Langhe and is a center specialized in curing the European hedgehog, in their preservation in order to reinsert them (when possible) in nature in their habitat. The idea of creating a place to care for and assist the hedgehogs was born following the discovery of an orphaned hog of a few grams "Ninna", taken care of by the veterinarian Massimo Vacchetta.

Anche se non mancano le associazioni animaliste in Italia, i criceti non sono conosciuti e trattati a dovere, venendo spesso maltrattati e trascurati. Se da un lato è comprensibile e condivisibile che si dedichino tante attenzioni a cani o gatti, noi dell'AIC Onlus siamo dell’idea che tutti gli animali meritino attenzione e amore. Il nostro scopo è infatti tutelarli e diffondere le corrette informazioni sulla loro gestione.

La nostra associazione si occupa dal 2013 di recuperare, curare e ricollocare ratti domestici soggetti a cessione, maltrattamento o abbandono. Cuore della nostra attività è anche la divulgazione di informazioni sulla corretta gestione di questi splendidi animali.
