But now a devastating earthquake of magnitude 7.6 hits the northwest of the country and the southeast of Turkey on February 6, leaving more than 4,000 lives in both countries. Our objective is to get 500 solar lamps that allow mothers, children and girls in the ten villages of Guinea Bissau in which we work to study at nightfall. Battery-powered lanterns are currently used, but they cause serious pollution problems in villages, farming areas and in water. It is estimated that a common battery contaminates more than 3,000 liters of water. Solar lamps are a sustainable alternative and allow families to have light for 8 hours.

Our work is based on guaranteeing Human Rights to the local child population (Right to health, to education, to have a decent life, to food, etc) using as a working guide the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, rights that have been ratified by Kenya in different documents and are part of the Constitutional Charter of the Country.
