ROLDA is an internationally supported charity dedicated to addressing Romania’s overwhelming homeless animal crisis. Our core work focuses on rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs and cats from our private shelters. We also provide practical assistance and education to low-income pet owners in local communities. Dear teaming & cat lovers, Ukraine is a poor country where animals are of little value. If an animal is not wanted (anymore), sick or injured, it is dumped on the street. Few people with big hearts full of love, kindness & empathy take care of these poor and maltreated souls. For 24 years, this animal shelter has only functioned with international aid. Without regular donors, Tamara's shelter is constantly on the verge of bankruptcy: we must help her! In addition to the stress linked to the lack of regular funds in a country at war (7 years), Tamara, her 4 employees and her animals are regularly victims of violence from a local organisation of "dog hunters". First animal shelter in Ukraine, it homes more than 1,000 dogs and 300 cats.

Mila is a Ukrainian animal rights activist who cares for abandoned, abused, or abandoned cats in mini-shelters, each with 30 cats. She and her two friends care for approximately 150 sick and abandoned animals, including abused ones. This happens in their own apartment, where Mila lives with approximately 50 animals, in the apartments of her friends, and on the streets, where the animals are also starving. Together with our animal welfare friends in Deva and Bucharest, we dream of animals that recieve care, protection and love. We also wish for community-oriented awareness of animal welfare to grow and animal placement to become more sustainable. We have been working towards this with our association (based in Erfurt) since 2015. We give all our furry friends the time they need adapt to their new living conditions.
