The SJD Pediatric Center is the first monographic centre for paediatric oncology in Spain (2nd in Europe). 70% of the centre is devoted to care and 30% to research. It has the capacity to care for 400 children and youngsters. Its spaces are designed with the emotional well-being of the children and their families in mind. Our aim is that the children have more options to overcome cancer with less after-effects. Will you join us?

We are health clowns in Asturias. For years we have been filling corridors and rooms with color, play and joy in the paediatrics wards of the HUCA. We visit the Cruz Roja Gijón weekly, animating corridors and staff and intervening in the rehabilitation and palliative care plants for adults. On the other hand, every week we visit the Naranco residential establishment for the elderly and we have implemented a show of sensory stimulation through clowning for special education centers in Asturias.

Soy Xana, tengo 14 años, y soy maravillosa, pero como todo no puede ser perfecto, tengo Parálisis cerebral, y llevo una traqueotomía para respirar, y una válvula para la hidrocefalia. Pase un año en la UCI, y por todo eso aún no hablo, pero soy muy peleona, así que seguiré luchando! Mis padres han creado este grupo, para poder costear las terapias que necesito que son muchas! La vida nos cambió en menos de 24 horas...2 veces... Aitana nació sana pero una noche su vida cambió. En 2020, teniendo 4 años y medio, una sepsis meningocócica casi se lleva su vida, consiguió sobrevivir con secuelas irreversibles. Una amputación de una pierna y daños internos en la otra. 3 años después, su papá, Fran, tras perder sensibilidad y movilidad de pecho hacia abajo, le diagnosticaron un tumor que le comprimió la médula y le causó una lesión medular.
