Ohana means family in the hawaian language. Our family includes 150 (human and non-human) animals. Everyone has his/her story of liberation, own name and personality Ohana was funded in 2016 in Empoli (Tuscany) when Letizia and Luigi sold all their belongings to buy a land and give shelter to animals saved from explotation and slaughterhouse. At Rifugio Miletta over 300 animals find freedom and peaceful life, living together in peace and harmony, coming from situations of hardship, suffering, and slavery. Rifugio Miletta is also a Wild Live Rescue Center. The costs are enormous and to continue we need help from all people sensitive to animal rights.

I am Paola Federica Samaritani, founder of Sfattoria degli Ultimi, a shelter for animals in difficulty where we host more than 170 pigs and wild boars saved from mistreatment. I have dedicated my life to these animals, the last of the last, and together with all the volunteers and supporters we want to give them a better life that is worthy of this name.

Brigata Bestiale è un rifugio antispecista multispecie che si trova a Bentivoglio (BO) e che nasce dal riscatto di un'abitazione e di un terreno utilizzati in passato come allevamento e macello. Dal 2023 accogliamo individui liberatx da situazioni di sfruttamento e incuria. Una volta qui, cerchiamo di garantir loro una vita libera e autonoma, nel rispetto delle loro necessità etologiche, escludendo pietismo e banalizzazioni.

"E a pensarci, che pazzia È una favola, è solo fantasia E chi è saggio, chi è maturo lo sa Non può esistere nella realtà.." E invece può esistere, "si può fare"! E l'esperienza da volontaria in un rifugio per animali considerati "da reddito" me lo ha dimostrato. Ed è lì che è maturata la "folle" idea di essere una goccia nel mare, di creare un piccolo rifugio dove poter accogliere animali altrimenti destinati allo sfruttamento ed alla sofferenza.
