LUCY IRVINE FOUNDATION EUROPE

At her haven, with other rescues, Lucy has 12 rehabilitated horses and donkeys. She lives on site in her caravan and has dedicated the past 15 years to helping animals in the Roma communities of rural Bulgaria. She delivers hay to the poorest of horse owners, gives out better fitting tack to working horses in need and provides tick treatment, dewormers and general medical aid. Lucy relies totally on donations and voluntary help to meet the needs of her equines and those at 'Outreach.'

With funds raised from 1 € contributions, we are currently supplying hay to Roma owned horses in the poorest of families of rural Bulgaria. These horses are often overworked and undernourished. Hay is a vital requirement for them to survive until the grass grows once again.
Lucy discreetly organises delivery, she knows the families that really need this support. This is part of the foundations "Outreach' work — reaching out to the community. Lucy also has 12 equine rescues at her haven.
