Life for Javea's street cats can be challenging and without controlling the population it rapidly grows. (One female cat can give birth every four months to four kittens!) As a legal, official non-profit organisation we use the humane method of trap, neuter and return to try to prevent so many kittens being born on the streets. More than 6000 cats have been sterilised to date. We also help feral/street cats in distress, ill or injured and have a team of volunteers who feed our many colonies.

Our only purpose is to fight for this wonderful breed that is ignored and not wanted in Spain, as they are only considered huntils tools, not pets. Welcome to the SCAN Team. On the Costa Blanca in Spain, we rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home abandoned and abused cats and dogs. Staffed entirely by volunteers and funded entirely by donations, every animal in our care is given shelter, food, medicine and enrichment to make it healthy, happy and ready for adoption. We successfully find loving forever homes for over 95% of SCAN Cats and SCAN Dogs.

Sanju Sanctuary is a kitten rescue that nurtures, hand-rears, and homes abandoned kittens. Run by an amazing couple, and surviving on donations and grit, Sanju is an important link in managing the feral cat population in Jávea. This Teaming Group is focused on medical care for rescued kittens. This includes vaccinations, medications, medical procedures, and helping other local organisations with trapping, neutering & colony control .

APROP is a not for profit Animal Protection Association based in Pego, Spain. We are a network of committed volunteers and foster carers who rescue and rehome abandoned dogs and cats. Our shelter is basic, but full of love and care, providing a safe place for our animals to stay along with food and all veterinary care until they are adopted. "Patitas por el mundo", somos dos personas comprometidas con los animales. Alimentamos a muchos perros y gatos, hacemos el método CES, estamos poniendo Tolvas artesanales por muchos sitios y gastamos cientos de kilos de pienso al mes. Necesitamos ayuda tanto para la alimentación como para los Veterinarios y residencias que pagamos todos los meses. Cuando reunamos dinero haremos una habitación tipo mini refugio para ir rescatando los gatitos de las colonias. Nos ayudas???

D.A.R.N.A is a NO KILL sanctuary in Spain run 100% by volunteers. We support abandoned, abused, and neglected animals regardless of age, size, or medical status. 100% of donations go toward animal care. Teaming is our best chance at having a regular source of funding for our rescue, and if we had 2000 teamers, we would be able to guarantee food for all of our animals without stressing what the next month would bring.
