La Protectora d’Animals de Tàrrega es va fundar el 1996 i és una associació sense ànim de lucre, gestionada per voluntàries. A la prote ens ocupem dels gossos i gosses abandonats i perduts de l’Urgell, i actualment tenim una vuitantena de refugiats. El nostre propòsit és ser un lloc de pas (tristament necessari) on salvar, protegir, estimar, dignificar i aconseguir famílies adoptives per a qui han tractat amb menyspreu. Ens esforcem per recuperar somriures perduts i recomposar ànimes trencades.

Con euro al mes nos permite seguir defendiendo la convicción de que los animales no son nuestros para ser usados como comida, probetas de laboratorio, materiales para hacer prendas, servir como entretenimiento o ser víctimas de nuestras tradiciones. SOS Primates is a non-profit organization that supports the work of the Lwiro Primate Rehabilitation Center (CRPL). Located in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, the center is home to more than 90 chimpanzees and 100 monkeys rescued from poaching and illegal trafficking. In this war-stricken area, the CRPL employs more than 50 local workers and represents the only hope for the protection and survival of these fascinating animals.
