Goldra dog Sanctuary is a private run dog shelter overlooking Loule, Algarve. We look after about 70 unwanted dogs and puppies, many of our adult dogs are very old or have health or human issues. We constantly have puppies in our care and have a good foster home support until they can be adopted. Funds raised will be used for food, medications and veterinary costs. Jan Henderson runs the shelter and has been onsite since 2011. Canigoldra Associacao is a non-profit organisation.

We are a group of dedicated animal rescuers who are raising vital funds for Saving Macedonian Strays (UK RC 1170041) to purchase land to develop a purpose-built animal shelter with on-site veterinary facilities in North Macedonia. The team is currently caring for 100+ stray dogs and cats at a temporary shelter that is not fit for purpose or connected to any utilities. Please help us to realise our dream of creating a centre of excellence in a country where animal abuse is prolific.

The Gouves Animal Shelter, is a non-profit, donation only charity. We have saved 1000's of animals. We only survive with donations, we tend to rely in the summer on tourism, but coronavirus has made this difficult. Now we are being evicted from our land and need to raise money to move our shelter with around 160 dogs and 80 cats. We are trying to make the impossible, possible.

The purpose of Animal Rescue is to defend animal rights through rescuing, raising awareness, education, lobbying and activism. The animals we rescue are always the most difficult cases. We don't give up on our rescues. We make sure they get the best care and try the hardest to find adoptive homes or fostering. Most animals are adopted abroad through a strict adoption screening and a follow up process. We believe the stray population can only be fully controlled by spaying/neutering.

My name is Nikos Tsikalakis and I am the owner of Bronx Familia Animal Shelter. For the past 10 years I have dedicated my life to save the stray and abused dogs of Crete, Greece. Savethedogsbih is a non-profit organization in Bosnia. We rescue dogs that have been abandoned, abused and chained up. For over 6 years, the founder Bruno Jelovic and his team have been caring for over 1000 dogs. Our dogs are not kept in kennels, but live on our ranches where they can just be dogs. We are committed to growing and plan to build more ranches to accommodate more dogs.

George Orfanidis has been rescuing animals in Crete, Greece for 25 years. He has around 140 plus dogs at his shelter. George often takes disabled animals or those requiring expensive surgery or with an ongoing need for medication for diseases such as leishmaniasis, who might otherwise struggle to find the safety of a shelter and are hard to find homes for. In the mountains of northern Morocco, Leeny and her small team tirelessly and lovingly cared for injured, abused, or sick stray dogs. At the Beldi Refuge, approximately 100 dogs find shelter, care, and attention. But our goal goes far beyond that: Through education, neutering, and vaccinations as part of the TNVT program, we aim to end the suffering of stray animals in the long term and fundamentally change attitudes toward dogs in the region.
