Animal welfare goes beyond national borders. Every animal deserves a chance at a dignified life. The association operates a shelter in Tunari, Romania. A maximum of 140 dogs can currently be taken in and cared for there. We take care of dogs that have had an accident or are in need, and we constantly rescue animals from the so-called killing-shelters. In addition, we support and organize castration campaigns and maintain a Germany-wide network of around 100 foster homes.

As per Guinnes Book of World Rekords the Smeura is bearing the mournful title of being the biggest animal shelter of the world. Around 5400 dogs and 600 puppies need around 2.7 tonnes food per day. The staff members are doing an inconceivable job - organizationally, physically and emotionally. Driving around with a castration van and pushing the clearing up of the locals. Every euro is needed. This collection supports the rescue and the already rescued dogs from the killing home of Alexandria in Romania. The follow-up costs are high and many dogs need at least time, if not professional help, because they are completely scared. Accommodation, medical care, coaches etc. must be financed. Only with time, effort and effort can these dogs, after their nightmares to kill them, be prepared under human custody for a beautiful dog life.

We support our Romanian rescuers with this money, they sacrifice everything that is possible for the fur noses. But they also cannot do it without our help. We collect for feed, medical care, castrations, ..... we cannot do it alone. Please help us and take part.

Hilfe für Italiens Streuner, ein Projekt des deutschen Tierschutzvereines Leben für Streuner e.V., hat es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht, Streunern in Italien zu helfen. Wir unterstützen Tierschützer vor Ort um die aufgenommenen Notfälle mit Futter zu versorgen, ihnen die nötige medizinische Versorgung zu gewährleisten und Lebenssituationen zu verbessern. Wir sind ebenso stets bemüht, mit Durchführung von Kastrationen von Straßen- und Besitzertieren das Leid zusätzlicher Streuner einzudämmen.

The animal welfare organisation Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. looks after around 1,500 dogs and cats in the northern Romanian cities of Bistrita, Baia Mare, Zalau, Fantanele, Busag and Cluj. Our vision is a Romania free of animal suffering and our mission is to create livable conditions for dogs and cats and to advocate for their needs. Unser kleiner Verein kümmert sich in Süditalien insbesondere um kranke Hunde, die auf der Straße oder in einem der schrecklichen Canile ein sehr trauriges Dasein ohne Zuwendung fristen müssen, bis sie irgendwann dort einsam sterben. Um diesen Hunden, die niemand will, helfen zu können sind wir auf jeden Euro angewiesen, damit wir die Tierarztkosten stemmen können und die Hunde bis zu ihrer Genesung oder hoffentlich Vermittlung in einem Notgehege untergebracht werden.
