Non-profit association of Assisted Interventions with Horses for people with functional diversity in the C. E. "El Asturcón". Our main activity is Horse Assisted Therapy, but we also carry out other types of interventions related to adapted sport, adapted equestrian leisure, training, dissemination and support for families. CADASIL is a rare hereditary disease that affects arteries throughout the body, but its symptoms only occur in the brain, with recurrent strokes and dementia at an early age (around 45-50 years old) being characteristic. There is NO cure, but a research team at the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau (Barcelona) is going to start a clinical trial to see if treatments already on the market can help to stop this incapacitating disease.
