This group is for the dogs in Breasta Public Shelter, Romania. Dogs in this shelter have a limited amount of time before they are killed so a group of volunteers try to move as many as possible to a safe shelter where their accommodation has to be paid for until they find permanent homes. Volunteers also buy food the dogs in Breasta and are always in need of funds for veterinary treatments as many of the dogs are sick or elderly.

This poor Shar Pei girl was caught by the dog catchers today. Cerasela was at Breasta when they brought her in, dragged out of the van and along the floor on a catchpole. She was terrified and traumatised and Cerasela took her out straight away and to the vet. She is quite young but is blind in one eye, has an ear infection, a skin condition, is pregnant and was covered in ticks. She remains at the clinic for further tests and may need surgery. She has now been bathed and her eyes cleaned up so hopefully she feels a little better now and we wait to see the outcome of her other problems. I have been following Cerasela for some time now and her brave actions fighting the cruelty to the dogs in Breasta PS. Now I am proud to say rather than just donating I am joining this group who works hard to save as many dogs as possible. Thank you for letting me join you all. X
