Nuevo rescate, el primer bebé del año.. os presento a Pimpinela. Le encontré en el suelo de una carretera, a punto de ser atropellada. Se habrá caído del nido, tendrá algo de 1 mes de vida y aún no vuela. Pero aparte de unos rasguños en su carita, está bien, sin heridas ni infecciones, y tenía el buche bien llenito. Le daré tratamiento preventivo con varios medicamentos.

Adjunto factura de la revisión de Gertrudis. Recibió el alta del veterinario! Aun tiene que estar unas 2 semanas conmigo hasta poder ir a su hogar permanente, para que se seque bien del todo la herida de la amputación.

Pistacho ya tiene su ala amputada. Le dejaron parte del húmero porque el tejido y los tendones del hombro se habían puesto muy rígidos de estar tanto tiempo inmovilizados por un vendaje y habrían tenido que raspar mucho, lo que le daría una recuperación mucho más dolorosa. Esta semana tiene revisión en el veterinario, y pronto tendré que encontrarle un hogar para vivir para siempre, ya que no será liberable sin poder volar.

Gertrudis estaba en la playa de Badalona con una fractura abierta en el ala. No pudimos salvarle el ala porque había mucho tejido y hueso muerto, así que le amputamos el ala entera. La cirugía ha ido bien, ahora toca recuperarse con reposo, curas y medicación. Tengo revisión con ella en una semana. Y cuando esté mejor, se irá a un refugio donde hay más gaviotas no liberables.

Después de 3 semanas más, le quité el vendaje a Pistacho para ver si había mejora.. y no.. sigue con el ala totalmente caída, incluso la va pisando y se hizo daño de estar enganchado con su pata.. Le tuve que volver a poner el vendaje más completo. No me quedará otra opción que amputar el ala al final, porque no puede estar con un vendaje de por vida, o con riesgo de tener infecciones por las heridas que se hace con la pata enganchandose en el ala. Ya tengo cita con la veterinaria el jueves que viene.
