We did it!

We built the shelter to protect the cats’ food and water from the rain, wind, and scorching sun.

As volunteers, we all share one simple dream: to keep our cats healthy and safe. That’s what drives us every single day. Building this shelter was a big part of that dream—and now, it’s come true.

It took time to plan, and a lot of love to make it happen. Four of our amazing volunteers—Raule, Michael, Matt, and Izabella—gave up their day off and their holidays to bring this to life. And while the rest of the team couldn’t be there in person, they were with us in spirit, cheering us on every step of the way.

We’re beyond happy with how the colony looks now—and best of all, the cats love it too. The food and water are finally protected from the heat, staying cool and fresh, just as they need.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated. We spent €130.64 on materials, and the remaining funds will go toward vet care.

We just finished our fundraiser to build a food and water shelter for one of the cat colonies in Playa del Cura—yay! We raised €200 and the big build starts on the 18th of April.

The best part? It’s an all-girl team taking on the challenge—because hey, women are supposed to be great at DIY, right? (Or at least we will be after a few YouTube tutorials!)

Wish us luck… and hope we don’t end up accidentally nailing ourselves to the pallets!
